Washington Chapter of ASET - The Neurodiagnostic Society (WA-ASET) provides leadership, advocacy and resources that promote professional excellence and quality patient care in neurodiagnostic services. As a membership organization, WA-ASET advances the field by serving member needs, defining and endorsing standards of practice, providing innovative educational opportunities, promoting the profession, and building coalitions in allied health, and other membership communities.
Neurodiagnostics includes but is not limited to Autonomic Reflex Testing (ART), Electroencephalography (EEG), Evoked Potentials (EP), Nerve Conduction Studies (NCS), Polysomnography-Technology (PSG), Intraoperative Neurophysiological Monitoring (IONM), Long Term Monitoring (LTM), and Intensive Care Unit Continuous EEG Monitoring (ICU/cEEG).
Washington Chapter of ASET - The Neurodiagnostic Society (WA-ASET) is a membership organization of healthcare professionals in the Neurodiagnostic field in the state of Washington. We strive to be a catalyst for collaboration, education, new technology, and state licensure to ensure patient receive the highest standard of care in Neurodiagnostic services.
Sedalia offers quality improvement, project management, and neurodiagnostic consultation services through her company, Kaizen Shark. She is a Lean Six Sigma Black Belt healthcare leader with proven success in strategy implementation and process improvement. She has over fourteen years of management experience and eleven in the neurodiagnostic industry.
Catherine is the Co-Founder and Head of Product Development for NeuroGen Network, an IOM focused software solutions company. She has 3+ years of experience in software development and has been a part of the IOM industry for the last 9 years. Catherine holds a MS in Brain & Behavioral Sciences from UT Dallas and a BS in Neuroscience from Vanderbilt University.
Barb is a “lifer” in the EEG field. She is registered in EEG, Evoked Potentials and CLTM. Since her days training at the VA Hospital EEG school in Gainesville, Florida, she has been learning, teaching and mentoring. By far, the best part of her career is passing knowledge, tips and tricks to others. Currently, the Lead EEG tech at Providence Health and Services in Portland, Oregon, Barb is working clinically performing EEG, Long term monitoring, EMU, sEEG, as a preceptor to new students and creating outreach programs to draw the next generation EEG techs to the field. Outside of the EEG world Barb has three amazing children that, while mostly grown, still keep her on her toes.
Bettina graduated from Bellevue College in 2012 with an Associate degree in Neurodiagnostics and is working as a Neurodiagnostic Technologist III at the University of Washington Medical Center performing in- and outpatient EEGs, EPs, Autonomic studies, and ECOG/Language mapping.
